Our extra-curricular highlights
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
ANZAC Day
Students are given the opportunity to participate in the annual ANZAC Day service. Their involvement, whether through laying wreaths or observing moments of silence, helps to foster a deep understanding of the significance of ANZAC Day. By taking part in these ceremonies, students connect with their history and community, honouring the legacy of courage, commitment, and mateship that ANZAC Day represents.
Public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through public speaking.
School sport, athletics and inter-school competitions
Our students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of sports activities, catering to different interests and skill levels. These sports include popular options such as cricket, AFL, tennis, swimming, athletics, and more.
In addition to regular sports activities, students have the opportunity to represent their school in inter-school competitions. These events allow students to compete against peers from other schools in the region, fostering a sense of community and healthy competition. Through these competitions, students gain valuable experience, build confidence, and enhance their skills while making new friends and learning to work collaboratively.
Overall, these sports and competitions play a vital role in supporting students’ physical, social, and emotional development.
Student leadership opportunities
Students from Years 4 to 6 teamed up with peers from our neighbouring local schools to take part in the ASPIRE Leadership program. This collaborative experience empowered our young leaders to develop their skills, build confidence, and make a positive impact in their school communities.
